This is something else, A True solid snare, so a snare from one piece hollowed tree trunk! A very time consuming process, and only a true wood artisan can make this happen, Gert Breugelmans of Lignum Drums is the man behind this piece of art!
This snare is also made from a wood that is not used often in drums, which is a shame, because this wood has a real cool sound to it, it's very dense, but light! So the sound is in the midrange and with a very nice body to it, because of the density it's got a slight "Bell Brass"  ring to it, very cool and unique!! Tune it up, and there is a very controlled bark to it! Very versatile!
